Calm and Silence

 The Calm and silence by the sculptor Miguel Guía. While modeling this sculpture, Miguel Guía was not clear on the message this sculpture would convey to the viewer. He did voice his fear once seeing it finished. He believed that people might understand it more like a bid “to keep quiet” than reassurance and intimacy. He was wrong.  Since the very first exhibition, the public understood the message and the strength of this work.  It came to be one of the most admired of his works.  Recently, the author decided to make this piece in a much bigger size. Soon we will announce the galleries where it will be exhibited.  Hopefully, the larger scale Calm and Silence will be to collectors fancy as much as its original version.
