Leaning into Africa (2002)

In this painting I wanted to reflect a view of the West through the window into the world of Africa and, in turn, the children of Africa are looking at our world through the same window, contrasting the light of Africa with the darkness of the room. The children of Mozambique always with their smile and curiosity are the axis of the picture and they look out into our world.
