Raining in New York (2009)

I visited NY in 2004 and, in addition to falling in love with the city and its dynamism and multiculturalism; I was captivated by this photograph from the back of a taxi. I wanted to turn it into an oil painting and into Parisian impressionism with wet streets and lights playing with the rain.
